BIOGRAPHY

Copper Sister are two people who have been making music together since school and who work in a way that would be intolerable for anyone else: months of layering in a spare bedroom, hundreds of takes of the same guitar recorded at different distances, and no willingness whatsoever to decide anything quickly. The result is the densest record on the label. ‘Wire Season’ took nine months to make and three weeks to mix, and it is the only Nightform release where we genuinely could not tell you how many instruments are on it. Live they strip it back to guitar, bass, drum machine and two voices, and somehow it still sounds enormous. They are the band most likely to leave us for someone bigger, and we would drive them there ourselves.
